Lynn Jenner
Lynne Jenner is a New Zealand author of essays, poetry, nonfiction and hybrid texts. She started writing at the age of forty-nine. Her debut collection, Dear Sweet Harry, won two awards for best first book of poetry. Hugh Roberts (NZ Listener magazine) described Dear Sweet Harry as a book "exciting" in the way the author "weaves scraps of found material, family history, conjecture and archival research...into a kind of cheerful mirror world of the early 20th century Lynn's second book Lost and Gone Away - a hybrid of memoir, essay, prose and poetry - was selected as a Metro Best Book (2015) and was a finalist in the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards (2016).
After graduating from Whitireia's creative writing program (2004), Lynne completed her MA at the University of Victoria, in 2013 she completed her Ph.D.
