Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska's publications in "Taubin":
A Polish poet associated with the circle of Skamander group of poets, a bright representative of Polish interwar period.

She was born in 1891 in Krakow in the family of the artist Wojciech Horacy Kossak. She was educated at home (including studying several foreign languages), for some time she was a free student of the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts.

She made her debut as a writer in 1924. Author of a number of poetry collections and plays. Her poems are ironic, sensual and aphoristic, they embody the spirit of her time – faith in progress, interest in science and in the taboo topic of female physicality, which she treated in a scandalous way, according to critics of that time. Many of her poems became popular songs. In her later works, she spoke about the Second World War.

She died in 1945 in Manchester.
