Andreas Unterweger is an Austrian writer, translator and editor of the legendary Austrian literary magazine manuskripte, based in Graz, since 2020.
He is the author of eleven books which were mostly published by Literaturverlag Droschl, most recently the novel “So long, Annemarie” in 2022 and the poetry collection “Haus ohne Türen” (“House Without Doors”) in 2025.
Prose and poetry by Andreas Unterweger have been translated into several languages, including the novel “Le livre jaune” (Lanskine, Paris 2019) and the poetry collection “Nijedna pesma” (NoRules, Beograd 2021).
Andreas Unterweger has been awarded, amongst others, the manuskripte prize of the State of Styria 2016 and the prize of the Akademie Graz 2009. He is currently part of schreibART, the recommendation program of the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
