Milena Contini was born in Milan in 1981. She graduated from the University of Milan with a degree in Modern Philology in 2006, earned a PhD, and now teaches at the University of Verona. She hosts the program “1000 Things to Say” (“1000 cose da dire”), curates the series “The Immortals” (“Immortali”) for the publisher DelosDigital, and writes a regular column for Writers Magazine Italia.
She is the author of four monographs, numerous articles, novellas, and short stories (Child in Time, 2022; Pen, 2023; Down to the Waterline, 2024), and a recipient of various literary awards for prose and poetry, including Masters of Horror(Universal Pictures Italia, 2012), Ossi di seppia (2019 and 2023), and Le Occasioni (2025).
She is currently working on a historical novel for the publishing house Solferino. Her poetry collection In Case of Rain(In caso di pioggia) was published in March 2025 in Milan by Rayuela.
