Anna Kleiva was born in 1985 and is considered one of the most important voices of her generation.

She made her debut as a poet in 2011 with the collection Ten Similar Versions. To date, she has published four poetry collections that have received high critical acclaim, as well as the innovative prose work Echo Mountain. Stories from Los Angeles (2018).

Together with Wilde Tuv, she is the co-author of the musical-poetic work Sunny Yolk, released in 2024.

The collection Triks (Tricks) was published in 2025. It is a satirical work in which the poet deconstructs the language of capitalism, first pushing it to the point of absurdity, to the moment of complete fragmentation, in order to reassemble the pieces into a new form of expression. The poems in the collection shift from serious to nonsensical, from proclamations to reflections, from facts to fiction. They also deconstruct our ideas about the modern world, about what is considered normal in it, and about the position we, as humans, occupy as a species—or think we occupy.
