Alieś Dubroŭski-Saročankaŭ (Aliaksandr Uladzimiravich Dubrouski) – poet, philologist, theologian.
He was born in 1976 in Navahrudak. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Belarusian State University majoring in “Belarusian Language and Literature”, master’s and postgraduate studies at the Department of Literary Theory, as well as the Theological Institute of the Union of Christians of the Evangelical Faith in the Republic of Belarus. Candidate of Philological Sciences, Doctor of Theology (degree awarded by the Theological Seminary of St. John Chrysostom, Medellin, Colombia), associate professor, presbyter.
Poems were published in newspapers and magazines “Čyrvonaja źmena” (first publication – 1992), “LiM”, “Pieršaćviet”, “Biarozka”, “Maladość”, “Dziejasloŭ”, “Polymia”, “Nioman”, etc. and were translated into Russian and Italian.
Author of books of poetry “Between the sky and the mud” (1997), “Aesthetics of silence” (2011), “On a thin thread” (2021), “Liturgy of Time” (2023), “On Foot” (2025), “Instant Calendar” (2026), monograph “Poetics of Ryhor Baradulin: rhythmic organization of a poem” (2006), collections of theological studies and religious journalism.
Winner of the “Zalaty Apostraf” award (2023) and the “Fest of one poem” (2024).
